So I made the background dark green. I then used grunge Photoshop brushes for the “border” which is just the top part.

I enjoy the community feel that it has to it. Some people just drop and run, which can be like a hit and run for your bounce rate, but there are people who come to drop their card, read a post and leave a comment.

I try to be the latter, but sometimes the blog just bores me because it is about something I hold no interest in. For those blogs, I drop my card scan through the material thats on the front page, and flip back through. That way, I don’t contribute to the bounce rate raise.

What type of Entrecarder are you?

One thing that I always have difficulty with, is trying to find colors to blend and place together. I feel like I don’t have the eye for it.
Thankfully, ColorLovers.com is there to make things easier!

They have plenty of colors to choose from, and palettes of colors chosen by various users. I have seen many brilliant patterns as well!

The theme I am using is the Revolution Lifestyle theme and you will notice that I haven’t done much alteration to it. I haven’t even put in my own header! Well the reason for that is because it is just a temporary theme. I am creating my own custom theme so that the blog can be laid out the way I want it to be laid out.

I will also be providing it for free download, but with less features and a different look, of course.

The “Coming Soon” theme that I posted mock ups for is still going through its graphical refinement. I hope to have it done by the end of this week or next week.

Right now, I want to know what type of features do you look for in a Word Press Theme? What type of plugins would you like to see integrated with any of my future themes?

I am now going to set about making the images more refined. What I mean by that is that I need to decide how I want the subscription box to look and whether or now I want to use icons for the shown excerpt.

Well, enough rambling here is the new mockup.

Coming Soon Mockup

The theme that I am creating will be similar to Ian Stewarts LaunchPad, and Wordprezzies Changing Room. However, I will be trying to code in my own features that I will name on the release post.

This theme is mainly being created for my boyfriends upcoming music and dance blog.

So without further ado, here is my mockup of the mockup. All it does is show how I am planning to lay things out.

I already have a personal blog so this blog is going to be used to chronicle all my e-business endeavors, as well as serving as a type of portfolio. I am an aspiring web designer and Word Press theme creator although I am still just abeginner.

My graphics aren’t very good but I am working on getting better! I hope to become at least semi-successful with Word Press theme creation and will also provide tips and tutorials that I learn as I go along my learning process.

I hope you enjoy the things I try to do and It is also my hope that you will subscribe to this blog.
